low-frequency noise would also be measured at structures — a change made at the urging of engineer Gregory C. Tocci.

Beth A. White, president of Voters for Wind, asked if landowners participating in a wind farm could have an easement for low-frequency noise like they would for overall noise levels.

"The participating landowners should have some sort of leeway there," she said

This is a very telling article, apparently Beth White would prefer that the turbines be positioned based on profit rather than safety.

How can you possibly get accurate ambient noise readings? If I were a stake holder I would make sure the ambient noise level was higher during the time of the noise studies just as BP did when they had readings done on Huff road when the water lines were being installed. The microphones were placed in the construction staging area etc... All one would have to do for example would be to run their farm equipment at the necessary times to raise the ambient levels.
