Group to compete for $90m in energy money

A consortium of north country energy experts and local governments will use a $1 million state grant to plan for environmentally sustainable projects, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo announced.

Led by Essex County, the consortium will use the money to come up with a plan that will compete with regions in the rest of the state for $90 million more to put the plans in motion. North country projects include solar, biomass and wind energy.

The plan will help reduce pollution and create jobs, Mr. Cuomo said.

I'd like to start a methane gas producing operation. I would be using pig shit, I just bought property next door to a very vocal green shirt. Do you think I can get a state grant for my start-up?

Maybe the CVLDC could help you with the grant writing.
