Just think of the law suits and the defense.

And there are likely many more to come.

Charges of voter fraud never proven? An illegal voter ID law which two lease holding town board members stuck by and refused to vote for repeal? Conflicts of interest controlling the early planning stages?

Violations of civil rights by attempting to intimidate voters and people who choose to vote in Cape Vincent?

Many in Cape Vincent are not yet willing to roll over to the world's third largest energy company and let them overrule our town laws.

Defense starts with information and community discourse. Your two Cape Vincent bloggers and the comment makers who dared to provide information and speak out against wind development did exactly that.

Wow, this is interesting stuff Pandora has unearthed.

BP apparently paid $324,000 for Acciona's lease agreements and two met towers. Suggests the leases weren't worth all that much. Acciona spent a ton on their project with the environmental studies as well as lease payments for 7 years, but sold off their interests for relative peanuts.

I wonder if all the leases described in these two documents are all recorded with the county clerk.

I noticed that BP's list of lease holders and their agreements also contains a list of those with good neighbor agreements. This is really new information. The list of good neighbors wasn't all that extensive. Furthermore, by including good neighbor agreements in the BP list makes me wonder why there weren't any good neighbor agreements listed for Acciona's project. I would conclude there were not any good neighbor agreement associated with Acciona's project, otherwise would they not be listed as well?

I am still surprised at how cheaply Acciona unloaded their project, and remember it included two met towers. What a bargain for BP.

I just figured out that you have most likely donated 8000 hours or more of your time and your life to present this information to us.
I can't give much, but today, I will put ten dollars in an envelope and send it to your defense against the leaseholders who are charging you and trying to shut you up. I hope I can do it again, soon.

I can't afford it but I just mailed my check for $1,000. However I will go without food, drink, gas and fun for a month if it helps you and JLL stick it to British Petroleum.

I'm sending in a donation too. Happy to do so. But I will send more if Lady Grace will go for a boat ride with me.
