Subject: IMPORTANT MESSAGE on the PTC

Hi Folks -- As you know, the Senate Finance Committee voted last week to extend the PTC. Below is the roll call for the vote.  In addition, 6 Senate members sent a letter to the Committee in support of the PTC extension. Their names are below as well.

On Tuesday, Senate Majority leader Harry Reid proclaimed the PTC will be extended. We need to respond in numbers.

Big wind is mobilizing people in the States this month and we need to do the same. The Congressional recess is our opportunity to reach our representatives at home.

Please call your reps' district offices (see links below for NY reps) and find out when they will be holding town hall meetings. We need to attend these events and ask hard, and very public questions about their support for big wind and the PTC. If they oppose the PTC, thank them and move on. If they support extension, they need to know that their constituents are not happy with their position.

Please write letters to the local paper(s) and send them to the district offices regardless of whether they're published or not.

If you want to force the point, please find out when your rep will be holding a fundraiser -- tickets are usually very reasonable for home events (between $25-50). The tickets buy you face time with your rep and they have to listen to you. They'll get the message quick enough.

If we do not tell our reps what we think they will not know!

Thank you everyone for your continued efforts.  We just need to press a little harder for a little while longer.

Best,
--Lisa
