At this afternoon special planning board meeting Planning Board chair Richard Macsherry read a letter that he intends to send to Richard Chandler development director BP wind energy North America.

Dear Mr. Chandler,

I want to thank you for your quick response to my letter dated September 6, 2012 .The town of Cape Vincent planning board accepts your stated intention to pursue a preliminary phase the

 Public Information or PIP under article 10. That being said in the interest of stewardship, to the Cape Vincent community, this board will hold open the two alternative energy site plan applications, which exist under the auspices of BP. The planning board has by record as lead agency under SEQR, demonstrated its interest and involvement in this application review process. You have expressed confidence in commitment to community outreach and engagement we believe that dialogue should include current elected and appointed town officials, the town of Cape Vincent Planning Board would like to meet you.
