CUT & PASTE...

Below is a partial transcript of Richard Edsall's remarks to the Town of Cape Vincent Town Board Concerning the videotaping of his comments.

Edsall: I have a couple clerical things before we start.
I'm opposed to being put on the camera, unless you are going to guarantee you're not going to give it to the bloggers, so the bloggers can spread all out ,their vicious lies about me .So is there any, going to be any proprietary control of this tape?

Supervisor Hirschey: No, it's the press. Well, no this…

Edsall: Not the press.

Supervisor Hirschey: I’m sorry.

Edsall: I’m talking about yours.

Supervisor Hirschey : No. This is going to go on the Internet.

Edsall: So ok, they’ll be able to cut and paste and do whatever they want to do
and misrepresent, fine.

The YouTube audio tape below was made with a recording given to me by another Blogger...

The Richard Edsall days were never misrepresented by the bloggers. His bad conduct while on the planning board is fact and well documented.

Mr. Edsall has signed leases with Bee Pee and his mockery of the way he would "recuse" himself while chairman of the PB was shameful. You can't re-write history.

The pro-wind message has failed. It was the wrong message and now they are trying to harass people and destroy the facts of anti-wind.

The action taken against the bloggers has been perceived as an assault by Bp, their CV community organizer and pro-wind on the free speech of the citizens of the community of Cape Vincent, NY and beyond.

That is why I have supported the:

I came to this site this fine Sunday morning and I had to look Edsall again. Very upsetting.

7:22

I know the feeling. It made a little vomit rise into my throat.

But the main point in all this is we must never let conflicts of interest by public officials be overlooked again.

It is sometimes a difficult thing to completely avoid conflicts of interest, but our Cape Vincent pro-wind political leaders were not only disregarding them, but they seem to be endorsing them.

When financial conflicts of interest occur, they must be treated ethically and not used to gain political and personal advantage.

Remember that Mason and Mason said that the New York State Attorney General's code of ethics for wind development was a WASTE OF TIME.

Edsall "recused" himself by staying in the room.

The Democratic choice for the empty town board seat has a close family relationship with wind lease holders.

The Democratic choice is also involved in water district 2 whose users refused to cooperate with the town's commissioned survey.

Two very good reasons for voting for the Republican Town Board Candidate.

When BP packs up their office crap and heads out of town defeated, when this town begins its celebration, we should all raise a glass to the one individual who did more to throw the BP bums out of town than anyone else, even the self-proclaimed wind savior Art Pundt, and that individual is Richard Edsall. I wonder how long it will take all the Green Shirts to figure out that Edsall was anti-winds biggest asset. Thank you Mr. Edsall for continuing to this day to rally our troops.

After Hester Chase stood her ground which lead to Edsall resigning, he continued to find ways to harass her. He went after her junk at public meetings while at the same time many pro-wind farms were in the same situation. Pro wind hypocrisy ....7:22 you are right. He fires up the anti-wind, and makes their case and rallies the troops against Bp and their community organizer.
Add to that the conflicts of interest of the rest of the public officials including Aubertine. Edsall lost to a girl and has yet to recover.

"Edsall lost to a girl"

You do Hester an injustice. She is no mere "girl" . She is a patriot and a fine person, who recognized abuse of power, and stood in its way!

Well said and I agree. Thank you Hester
