If the website is not up and running and there are no public notices of the meeting, how is anyone supposed to know about it? Is this just another fake outreach to the community? Is BP limiting their invitations to the green shirts to enable BP to keep making totally false statements about having "overwhelming community support". We are overwhelmed but not overwhelmed about big wind.

Sorry, I heard and saw all I need to at the Oct. 23 meeting.

What's the point of listening to anymore of BP's bullshit.

Any project they will consider is incompatible with our zoning and Comp. Plan. End of story.

It is disgusting that the town is allowing BP to use our facilities for this presentation. Absolutely disgusting!!

I'm going to be busy raking leaves on Sat.

It will be a green shirt parade, a requirement of their leasing arrangements, an insult to the community. Yes, we have had enough of this sell out of out town by former friends.

"Please join the BP Team"

Jeesus Christ, they make it sound like a high school homecoming rally.

Are they stupid? Its hard to believe anyone could be this arrogant.

Why is the town providing a public venue for this ?

It is inexcusable.

When do we wake up and realize what an ultimate insult this is to our intelligence? Why should we provide a venue for BP to describe how they intend to f$#k us over. They have made it clear they are seeking a permit from the PSC regardless of our land use laws.

It makes me want to vomit, that the same group of officials that stood so proud on Oct. 23,in the name of Cape Vincent citizens, will accomodate this corporate predator ,and bow to the condescension of the Art. X process.

This open house was not arranged by the Town of Cape Vincent.
Rec park is available to anyone that wants to rent it. It has nothing to do with our boards accommodating anyone.

11:48

It does not matter if this event was arranged by the town or BP. We SHOULD NOT be accommodating BP in ANY WAY that moves their project forward before Art X and the PSC. Wake up 11:48!!! That is exactly what this event does and we are giving them a place to do it. It allows them to make a better case to the PSC that they have been open to the CV public and provided us with lots of info on their project. Well geee how wonderful, and we are going to help them along!

They are using the insidious Art X process which already took away our home rule rights, to blatantly violate our laws and comp plan and ram a monster industrial wind disaster down our throats that will destroy our community. Did Chandler look like that bothered him last time he was here. He could care less. So now we reward him by giving him a place and another opportunity to show us how he will screw us over. SERIOUSLY????

Now what the hell is it you don't get for God's sake. This is what they intend to do to us so why should the town be accomodating them in any way whatsoever to do it?

If we are serious about defending our town and our laws and our home rule then BP should be denied any public place like rec park to meet. Let them do it in their own damn office.

You have the enemy on your door step and you are telling them to come on in and we will give you a place to park your tanks and a building where you can further plan your attack on us!!!

That is just plain NUTS!!!

It's great to see our board take on BP verbally, but that is one splash event but if they are serious about defending our town against Art X and BP then I am still waiting for some real direct aggresive action. Denying BP rec park would be a good start!

Otherwise all the hoopla about the Oct 23rd meeting with BP was nothing more than just that...hoopla. I'm waiting to see the town boards stop doing things that go along with the Art X process that furthers BP's ability to screw us over.

I will say it again...you can not seriously defend yourself if you play along and help enable the exact process that is designed to remove your rights and destroy your community.

And let me see if I get this straight... we RENTED this space to BP???? You mean the town actually got money for providing BP a place to further enable their attack on us, and show the community how they will blatantly violate our laws, and destroy our community? REALLY???

And you mean BP is going to use a tax payer funded facility so they can put up nice fancy graphics and maps to show the community how they will destroy our community.

That is obscene!!!

I don't plan on living in the town of eagle. Maybe Bp could move their junk there.

Who gives a crap where they advertise their open house or any other event. The farther away the better, then we won't have to listen to it or read about it.

What's that about defending home rule??

So far BP 3 WDT PR ads...Opposition-0!
