Industrial Wind is targeting areas of New York State which are considered the most beautiful areas in New York State.

If you had to pick the top 10 best scenic areas you are aware of in New York State, what areas would you pick?
I tried to answer the question for myself. I decided to see what NYS thinks about this question.

I went on the net to the
NYS I Love NY at:

I thought that their choices were very interesting.

New York States choices of the Most Scenic Outdoor Areas include:

The 1000 Islands-Seaway, The  Adirondacks, Capital-Saratoga, The Catskills, Central New York, Chautauqua-Allegheny, Finger Lakes, Greater Niagara and the Hudson Valley.

Of the waterfront's many attributes, its scenery is perhaps the most universally appreciated. A major component of community character is a community's scenic resources, with special landscape features and views contributing to a community's visual quality.

In order to protect community character, the scenic characteristics of our waterfront and community should be considered when making planning and development decisions.

Currently we see Industrial Wind targeting areas of New York State which are considered the most beautiful areas in New York State.

Locally that includes the Towns of Henderson, Cape Vincent, Lyme, Clayton, Orleans, and Hammond NY.
So, it seems incredible to me that we permit the targeting of these areas for industrial wind by the Wind Industry.

What protection will NYS provide in Article X for the View-sheds of these natural wonders of New York State?
Imagine the revisions to http://www.iloveny.com/Fall.aspx that will be required if that happens and we do allow Paradise to be paved over.

I know that for instance that the Hudson River already has been designated as a Scenic Area of Statewide Significance.  I don't know what that means other than getting a Gold Star.

But, my point is, why would  Article X allow Industrial Wind in the View-shed of any of these natural wonders of NYS.
Article X should revisit and clarify these issues.
