Outraged and Saddened in Cape Vincent

A letter to the editor from the Watertown Times

Disturbing comment

This is in response to the article that appeared Dec. 7 that contained town board member Cliff Schneider’s dismay over BP donating money to the food pantry.
I am outraged and saddened that anyone would be anything but appreciative for the much needed funding for those less fortunate. Over 30 families in the Cape use the food pantry, and I am sure each of them is most grateful to BP and other groups, such as the Lions Club that donate to this cause.

Below is a YouTube video that captured what Mr. Schneider said about BP throwing money around our community  Link here to continue reading

Is BP going to donate to the blogger's defense fund too?

The letter writer should have checked his sources more carefully. Mr. Schneider was not the source of the food pantry statement.

Every time I read a leaseholder voter for wind letter in the Times a little vomit rises into my throat.

In the letter the claim was made, "It is especially disturbing that an elected member of our town board finds it acceptable to publicly denounce BP’s gift to the food pantry."
No gift was made by Bp to the food pantry. If proven to be false, Will this accusation be included in the counter suits? I will donate to the the fund.

Is this a ploy? Is the pro wind-maz supporters trying to bully the food bank and Cliff. Are they setting it up to look bad and destroy its public image so other organizations will take notice and fear the same retribution? Is this more payback for speaking out against the horrible things wind is doing to us? Are they targeting Mr. S? to scare him? Any organization which falls for this might see their local support and reputation diminish. Rumors are flying about other groups who might fall for it.

J. Lee left the meeting early. I do not believe that he stuck around to interview Schnieder.

I want my money! I want my money, dammit!

Perhaps a member of voter for wind or Trieste gave Lee the wrong information? Whatever happened, I don't think Mr. Schneider got a fair shake from the WDT reporter or the writers of the letter.

Even Clifford Schneider said this is about the pip. He instigated the problem about the food pantry because he told me so in so many words. Cliff is a good person, but he got caught with his pants down this time You are diffidently wrong to make it sound any different. You plant weeds you get weeds. You keep Cliff, he certainty helps are side look pretty good. Good bye.

I don't know who you are and what you were smoking when your wrote your comment, but I never talked to anyone about the questions I asked at BP's meeting. I don't operate that way. I don't tell people what I intend to say at meetings. For that matter sometimes I don't know what I will say -- it's impromptu. Furthermore, if I were to confide in anyone, it sure wouldn't be anyone that refers to me as Clifford. One last comment, if I had it to do over I wouldn't change a word.
