Commissioner Aubertine ~ Another scandal at the state fair begs the question: Who will clean it up?

Enough with the cronyism, no-bid contracts and mismanagement of the New York State Fair. It’s time Gov. Andrew Cuomo cleaned house. He could start at the top with Commissioner of Agriculture & Markets Darrel Aubertine, on whose watch the latest scandal happened.[Syracuse.com]

State Agriculture Commissioner Darrel J. Aubertine announced Friday that for the first time, state residents may help select the 2013 State Fair theme. Ideas may be submitted via email by March 15 to statefairideas@agriculture.ny.gov. The fair will run from Aug. 22 to Sept. 2.

This is the same man who is trying hard to bring the same kind of questionable leadership back to the town of Cape Vincent.

Darrel Aubertine is very politically active in CapeVincent, NY politics and has been charging up pro wind Cape Democrats, Voters for Wind and Citizens for Fair Government. It appears that he is working hard to bring us back to a town government that will either take a super majority stand against our zoning laws or simply agree to let bp violate them.

The con here is that Aubertine backed candidates are claiming that Article Ten is a slam dunk, wind is behind us and their candidates will heal the community.

Don’t take any wooden nickles from Commissioner Aubertine.

No telling what Ag. Dept. Resources Aubertine might be using in Cape Vincent to support bp, voters for wind, CCFG and the plaintiffs in the blogger lawsuit as well challenging the town against his highly sensitive water district #2.

That is why I support the:

Please, Governor Cuomo, we have had enough of this guy.

So Aubertine has one ethical lapse after another. Can’t even win his Senate job when all of our other democrats are blowing the republicans away in the North Country. He has team up with Uncle Harold to make a mockery of our local Cape Democrats. And now is firing up the pro wind citicizens for fair government. Good God! These guys once ran three candidates with wind lease. Jeaaasuz! They wouldn’t have even been able to vote on anything if they had been elected! It's like a friggin mafia.

So what does Andy do? Go figure. He makes him AG head and Aubertine embarasses the hell out of him some more. With Darrell’s local messes in his water district and wind politics he has done more to promote disrespect for the agricultural community than any commissioner ever.

Thanks for letting me rant here a bit.

It's the old junior-high-pretending-to-scratch-your-nose-while-really-giving-the middle-finger-move.

Fair management was so lax, the IG said, two fair workers were found to be living on the Geddes grounds, right under the noses of their bosses. One kept exotic pet birds and filled six horse stalls with personal items the other created a party room "complete with a refrigerator full of beer and wine, couch, an inflatable bed and television,’’ staff writer Teri Weaver reported. You can’t make this stuff up.

Hey! Did the big state fair cheese set up his own water district for the squatters? Who was billing them for their water?

Ok...quickly everybody!.. pick your nose.... Which finger instinctively becomes the digger or the scratcher?...Middle finger?...I don’t think so...

Yeah, I was wondering if anyone noticed Commish Aubertine giving us all the finger.

I was worried about the language in this post. I wouldn't want Pandy stuck with another lawsuit, but I was happy to see Aubertine being dragged through the mud by the Editorial Board of the Syracuse Post Standard.

This time it wasn't a bunch of Cape anti-windies on a tirade; rather it was just a bunch of informed, intelligent, responsible central New York journalists trying to set the crooked record straight.

Although Maziarz is opposed to Great Lakes offshore wind Im not sure his wind opposition goes beyond that. He's already said he's not completely against wind energy. He was a co-sponsor & big supporter of the Power NY Act of 2011 (and Article X) that stole municipal home rule from New Yorkers regarding power plant siting - something that Cuomo had in the cards for a long time if you've read Cuomo's agendas published long before election day. Strangely he joined Ritchie in opposing the Hudson energy highway delivering cheap power from Quebec.

This guy is bad, every thing he touches goes to shit, he has no self worth, he does not belong where he is and Cuomo is no better to allow this to go on. It is time for the Gov. to do something. He must do it. otherwise he is no better than D.A.
