Ask Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell to Say "No" to Weakened Protections for Bald and Golden Eagles

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) has proposed a rule change that will result in more eagle deaths at wind energy projects. Under the suggested rule, the FWS would provide wind companies permits that would legally allow their turbines to kill majestic Bald and Golden Eagles throughout the United States for up to 30 years. This irresponsible proposal is a 180-degree reversal just three years after FWS had concluded that decades-long permits could jeopardize the survival of eagles.
ABC is concerned that the new Secretary of Interior, Sally Jewell, has inherited this controversial rule change from the last Secretary of Interior and that it is being rushed through before she has had time to review it.
Please join ABC in asking Secretary Jewell to personally review the proposed rule change and reject this terrible proposal.
