Appeals court upholds local fracking bans in NY

Is fracking banned in the Cape Vincent zoning law?

I hope that they don't allow fracking in Cape Vincent.

Fracking is banned as part of the Cape zoning that protects the health, safety and welfare of our community. Fracking is a mining process involving chemicals. It is very likely that the wind leaseholders who have signed leases with Bp have also given to them the mineral rights to their land. It is possible that those same leaseholders have agreed to let them frack the hell out of Cape Vincent.

Keeping out tracking IS a bit different than wind turbines. It IS considered a mining operation and is looked at a bit differently that WECs.
