Schumer calls for missile placement in New York, possibly Fort Drum

If an East Coast missile defense site is deemed necessary by the Pentagon, Sen. Charles E. Schumer wants it in New York, potentially at Fort Drum.
In a letter sent Monday to Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel, he said the post and the former Griffiss Air Force Base, Rome, were “uniquely capable” of such a placement [Watertown Times]

Well Chuck, one thing we don't need in Northern NY is missiles. We don't need to become a target for foreign countries. Close the base down and send the troops elsewhere. Thank you.

Defense system would be big money for Jefferson County. However, wind turbines would screw up clean radar. I don't think you can have both in the same vicinity.
