Are Voters For Wind having bake sales to bring in the dough to buy the services of Trieste?

 BP established that Voters for Wind (VFW)is an affiliate of theirs when they included
the following description of their relationship with Voters for Wind  in their initial Public Involvement Plan:

"In 2007, BP retained the services of Marion Trieste and her team of public outreach experts to assist with planning events to educate and engage the public. As part of this effort, BP assisted a group of local wind power supporters in the Towns of Cape Vincent and Lyme to form a group known as Voters for Wind "

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Not only did Marion Trieste establish Voters for Wind but she has been with them every step of the way, helping them develop their mission statement, elect officers develop bylaws, and begin the task of reaching out to others promoting  BP’s wind project.
The testimonial letter below states that the staff of Geo's Global (Trieste Associates) has been guiding the VFW every step of the way, providing them with information suggestions including technical and moral support. Trieste assisted Voters For Wind in planning and organizing community events, fund raising events and has also assisted them in learning how to utilize the media to spread their message.
  When you see the Voters for Wind in their ever present cluster of green shirts, remember they do not represent a grassroots organization they represent BP.
  When a green shirted Voter for Wind representative speaks at a legislative meeting they are speaking as a representative of BP not our community.
  When there is a DEIS, or FEIS public hearing, or a JCIDA meeting and a Voter for Wind representative speaks they are speaking as a representive BP not our community.
 When a Voter for wind applies for Intervenor funding for the Article 10 process they are representing BP Not our community.
  Below is a copy of a Voter for Wind Testimonial letter praising Marion Trieste of Geos Global for her assistance . This letter characterizes the relationship between Trieste and Voters for Wind
Transcript of VFW testimonial letter
To Whom It May Concern:
It is my great pleasure to write to you about my experience with GEOS,Green Energy Outreach Services.I am a member and Vice President of Voters for Wind, a grassroots citizens organization whose mission is to support the development of a wind farm in the town of Cape Vincent and Lyme, where the St. Lawrence River and Lake Ontario meet, in northern New York. Voters for Windgot its start in June 2007 when a handful of people sat down at a table in our local fire Hall to talk about wind development in our small community. We were a group with a shared interest in wind energy but with no experience or understanding of grassroots organization or our power to impact our community. With Marion (Maz) Trieste and our side, this small group developed a mission statement, elected officers, developed bylaws, and began the task of reaching out to others. Only a year later, we now have at least 30 – 40 regular participants in our monthly meetings and we have another 70 or so supporters. We have been involved in many public information meetings where we have been able to share critical, fact – based information about wind energy and the many benefits to local communities and its residents. We organized letter – writing campaigns and carried petitions, and our group now has four separate committees regarding very specific areas of concentration. In fact, just one short year later, we are now a very visible and vocal presence in our community.
The staff at GEOSis with us every step of the way, providing us with information, suggestions, and technical and moral support. They have assisted us in planning and organizing community events, fundraising events and have assisted us in learning how to utilize the media to spread our message. Steve Sullivan has been a speaker and a participant in several public information meetings. Staff members from GE OS attend our monthly meetings and have attended countless public hearings. We are in constant contact via phone and e-mail. With their assistance, we were able to set up a website to get our message out to an even broader audience.
On a personal level, I am very grateful to Maz and all of the staff at GE OS who have encouraged me and introduce us to grassroots organization, where a committed group of diverse individuals really can come together and make a difference. Voters for wind is like a family and GE OS is very definitely part of our family.
Sincerely,
Dawn M Munk
We have been the victims of a scam of long standing. By we will not be worn down. They know now that they can not pull this off . But their greed and arrogance run so deep they don't seem to be able to come to terms with the new reality.
Munk forgot to mention in her testimonial that Maz helped VFW in more ways than one to sue the Town of Lyme. Maz was so pleased with that contribution that she highlighted it in a NYSERDA curriculum for kiddies. And if we connect some obvious dots, VFW, Trieste and BP are also involved in the SLAPP suit against our bloggers.
Voters for Wind have a web site. You can go there to see pictures of former friends who have worked for years on a project which will ruin property values, upset your lifestyle, make noise, kill birds and turn Lyme and Cape and Clayton into an ugly industrial hell hole.
Trieste's big baloney show has come to a screeching halt. She and VFW are no longer relevant. They may think they make a difference, but they don't. They are all washed-up!
The game changers came as April showers. On April 3 BP announced they are quitting, selling-off, heading out of town. It's not a question of IF, but of WHEN! The other monumental dump from the heavens on BP, Trieste and VFW's parade was on April 19 - Black Friday. When the NY Dept. of Environmental Conservation and the Dept. of Public Service delivered their review and critique of BP's environmental assessment plan, they sent a message to BP, and its successor, you aren't going to repackage stale, old assessments; BP needs a do-over. For BP to comply with just a few key points in these reviews will take a year or more of work, but they haven't got a year - the subsidies will be gone on Jan. 1, 2014. Then it's bye-bye for the industry.
April was a glorious month for all of us. It was the month that organizational graves were dug for the likes of VFW and Trieste Associates. They may not have realized it yet, but the gas was let out of their tanks. They are done, finished, kaput, and toast.
Several years ago Marion Trieste brought Mark Thayer to town to claim that what your bathroom looks like in your home has more effect on its value than a BFT (big turbine). Oh, and how far the nearest Starbucks is. The Bp-Marion Trieste property expert and the pizza was paid for by Marion who gets paid by Bp. What went on that night was a very very expensive gift to Voters for Wind. Ya, the public was invited. Asked not to talk but fill out a little card. But they talked anyway while Bp's lease holding pb chair sat in the back and hollowed, SHUT UP. I think Voters for Wind benefit from Bp money in many ways. They use Bp muscle to bully the public but then they deny getting anything from Bp while eating their pizza. Do they really think they are fooling anyone but themselves?
All cults are able to exist because of one principle element-the willingness of its members to forego independent thought,and be led by the nose by another who recognizes and targets their weakness. In the case of Voters for Wind, it is the lure of easy profit.
You know....
You really couldn't make this up.
What they have tried to do that place where Lake and River meet has been long drawn out insanity - bordering on criminal in my book.
Pull the plug on this nightmare.
Cult members are self serving through direction by a prophet or in this case, profit! The more the voters for wind claim they are not receiving money of some sort from Bl the more incredulous they sound.
So they think no money comes from
Bp? They think Marion Trieste is the rescue mission?
Documentation that Voters for Wind is a local affiliate of Bp and have assumed great responsibility for many the claims that his project will not hurt anyone in the community. Some day perhaps we may see these folks in court answering to what they have tried to do to us on behalf of Bp.
