Galloo Island wind...

THURSDAY, JUNE 6, 2013
The state Public Service Commission has put the final nail in the coffin of Upstate NY Power Corp.’s Galloo Island Wind Farm transmission line application.
In his order of dismissal, PSC acting Secretary Jeffrey C. Cohen reiterated the fact that Upstate NY had been “afforded a great deal of time to move forward substantively on this application” yet has not made any progress for well over a year.[Watertown Times]

I like this opening line in the Times article:

"The state Public Service Commission has put the final nail in the coffin of..."

But, in the not to distant future we will see a change in the ending:

"...BP's Cape Vincent Wind Power project."

I smell victory in the air.

Victory stinks yet it has no odor. In that victory stinks it will add to the stench of slurried manure spread all over our town and to the stench of cow shit on our roads. We do not need any more stench.
