If the powers that be (government agencies, Department of Environmental Protection, Board of Health, etc.) really wanted to know how people felt about industrial wind turbines (IWTs), don’t you think they should ask the people who are most impacted by them? Like the folks who areforced to live under these ungodly monsters?
Don’t you think if they really wanted to know what the effects are from living too close to IWTs that they would fund some research or get the information first hand? Like -- I’ll say this one more time -- from the people who are forced to live under them?

There is a really important point about this letter, not the fact that someone can't stand living near industrial wind turbines. That fact has been around in spades for nearly a decade. What hasn't been emphasized in the past though, is those people within the footprint of a wind project are due some special consideration. Correction, those people deserve all the consideration. The rest of us who may be inconvenienced, marginally affected, or have our views destroyed aren't in need of protection and consideration of impact as much as those poor souls who will have a 500 footer just a hop skip and a jump a way.
Managing the mess call industrial wind should be all about protecting the health and safety of the public and the people living closest need those protections the most. The Cape got their zoning law right, Clayton did not.

6:31, they don't dare face the issue. But, they may have to face the same pending legal claims that have been made in other wind towns. It will be complicated but those who have tried to impose this upon those who don't want them are very likely to face a legal battle. It is now a matter of who to hold accountable. I believe the SLAPP you had to endure will give the community the documentation needed in future claims. So, I ask, is that why the Voter for Wind site disappeared. It was documentation of Marion Trieste's involvement and the people who took on what may be shoddy public engagement with bad information supplied by BP. There will be a lot of people deposed if it happens. Clayton used the same sound guy that is being sued in Herkimer county.
