CAPE VINCENT — After much debate over the proposed expansion of Water District 6, the Town Council chose to leave it up to district property owners to decide for themselves whether to move forward with the $2.85 million project.
Each property owner will get one vote, and the council has decided to allow absentee votes. The referendum will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Cape Vincent Recreation Park on James Street.

The pro wind were ugly last night. Nothing to do with who gets water. Just meanness by the candidate and trouble making. The former super is still wounded by his defeat. Nothing to do with open government or good government. Is Pearson being played and set up by the Cape wounded jackass party?
Are the voters and absentee votes all coming from people living in water district 6 or from all the absentee voters living in the Cape?
Are the absentee voters Going to have an address in the water district 6 or are they going to open it up to all absentee votes from the Cape. Since you feel my last comment was an unfair opinion you can have this one removed or print it. It only shows how fair our elected officials are.

10:42 a referendum to approve a water district only includes voters who reside within the proposed district boundaries, ergo the same applies to absentee voters.
