They hate the government more than they love the Thousand Islands!

Lets clear the air about what the opposition to the proposed SASS designation for the Thousand Islands is all about . The so called anti SASSERs have been dishonest as to what is really stuck in their craws, and it isn’t about a designation that calls the Thousand Islands a pretty place.

This is about their anger, gut-wrenching anger, and hatred directed at the SAFE ACT, ARTICLE 10 and BIG GOVERNMENT.

This hate groups paranoid agenda to kill something as positive as a SASS designation is disturbing.

They have engaged in a campaign spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD) by disseminating negative, dubious and false information.

What should be of concern to all of us  are the extremes they are taking to undermine efforts to do something positive for tourism and the Thousand Islands.

Their actions have proven without doubt they hate the government more than they love the Thousand Islands.

Big brother is watching

I think you are on to something here.
The big falsehood being pushed by the SASS critics is that it is "another layer of regulation." Show us one sentence of regulatory language in SASS. They can't because there isn't any. But for the "low information" town official they don't have to. It is enough just to create a boogieman.

I used to follow this blog years ago and just learned that it was active again. I just spent the last hour reading and catching up. I would just ask that you clean things up. Some of the comments and messages being portrayed are not something to be proud of. This site has become more about airing dirty laundry and less about facts. Please make this what it once was.

Well, there is some laundry that is indeed dirty.

To SASS haters and Galloo developers:

I don't disagree with your analysis. All that anger and resentment for calling the TI beautiful does not make sense.

If it is about the SAFE Act then why don't they go after its repeal? Why not place full page advertisements in the TI Sun, "WE WANT 20-ROUND BANANA CLIPS - DAMMIT!"

They understand they'd be laughed at from the rest of the state to suggest that they need an AR-15 and 20-round clip to go shopping for their personal toiletries at Gander Mountain.

If you are mad and frustrated about what Andy did to your 2nd Amendment Rights, and you haven't the balls for taking on the SAFE Act, then you strike out at something, anything, like sucker punching the littlest guy in the bar when he's not looking.

The anti-SASS crowd are just a bunch of frustrated, emasculated gun nuts who are seeking some retribution and consolation by sucker punching SASS in the hope that knocking it out will ease the pain over the loss of their 20-round magazines, "Hoorah, we stopped Big Government from calling the Thousand Islands pretty."

Wow, unbelievable! What next banning safe-lock tops on prescription drugs? That'll teach'em for messin' with our gun rights!
