TI towns have the ability to take a long look at the report and to re-group for a future application. Let's vote out the cowards who decided a few power hungry and selfish people should speak for the TI Region.

I don't think I have seen this statement in print, but "thank you" to whoever helped with this project in any way. Seems that it was alot of work to put all of this information in one place.

Town of Hammond told the state department to take their grant and go home? After the report was done? Are they nuts? I guess they never want to see another state grant again. Just keep cutting off your nose to spite your face. And have nobody want to volunteer for you again.

Now let's see what that seedy little town of Hammond will do for "economic development". Please the place is barely hanging on and if the river folk decide to with hold their taxes for a year they'd be bankrupt! The only thing happening there is the town supervisor who has vision and forethought and the few maligned volunteers who are being punished for their efforts.
Yes, good luck little town, who's going to volunteer ever again after this sort of treatment? Oh, and stop bulling other towns Mr. aand Ms. "homerule".

What the heck said...

So much for North Country Regional Economic Development. Bertram tried to get these towns to think regionally. Seems they are all too selfish to think that way. This is why program money is staying south. We can't get our act together."We don't need the state or its grant money"? Great, find a way to make it on your own since we won't be getting anymore after this circus. Thank you Demick family.

I don't get this!! some commentors are implying Erica Demmick from Hammond is considering running against Addie Russel. Can that be true? What a bizarre way to start a campaign by trashing the region's chances for a Scenic Designation!!!

What do you think? She's going to run on "the just say no" platform!
Of course when she or her family need a few bucks watch them run to Albany or the feds with their hands out -- that of course will be just fine with them as long as it comes to them. If you want to have a laugh watch the Cape Vincent video when Riddler takes her apart (with dignity I would add) when she tries to play 20 questions. If I were running against her I'd play that little clip over and over again. Mean while daddy is running for reelection in the fall -- get ready for the Droz machine to gear up again -- JUST SAY NO!!!

Last night the Demick-Droz-Ringer-Thompson took another step to push Erica Demick forward as a "viable candidate" for state wide office. they showed up at Cape Vincent with a resolution already written to opt out of SASS, continuing with their anti-SASS negative campaign of bullying and intimidation. These folks are not constrained by truth.
Watch out this is a slippery slope.

Really, what is it with Demick, Ringer and Thompson that they can't get about home rule? Or being a hypocrite? Hammond, A Bay and Clayton have voted already, so why do they keep hounding poor CV? Oh, I get it, DROZ. They are bewitched or drank the cool aide and see this as an ongoing power play. Please go back to your own businesses and stay out of our town!
