Nuclear Power is Critical to New York’s Future

Last week brought the unwelcome news that Entergy, the company that owns and operates the FitzPatrick nuclear plant in Oswego County, is considering shutting down the facility.

This is great news for the wind power lobby. With a void to fill, if the nuke plant shuts down, and no SASS to get in the way, and ART.X to permit construction, it will be much easier to site some wind turbines in the North country.
