Mad River Wind Farm Impact Assessment Study

Background to preparation of white paper Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust first heard of a proposal for a wind energy facility in the Tug Hill towns of Worth and Redfield from media reports in 2017. Created in 1991 to protect lands important to the Tug Hill region’s undeveloped character and economy, the Land Trust is not opposed to the development of wind energy, but these media reports gave rise to concerns about this particular project.
