Mad River Wind Farm Impact Assessment Study

Background to preparation of white paper Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust first heard of a proposal for a wind energy facility in the Tug Hill towns of Worth and Redfield from media reports in 2017. Created in 1991 to protect lands important to the Tug Hill region’s undeveloped character and economy, the Land Trust is not opposed to the development of wind energy, but these media reports gave rise to concerns about this particular project.

More than 500 show up to anti-wind turbine meeting


It was standing room only at the Attica Fairgrounds, where more than 500 people discussed wind power.
A majority are wanting state leaders to hear their voices, and not allow wind turbines in their backyards.


"We've seen a large amount of support in these communities and from our landowners. We're looking forward to bringing these projects to Ohio and this region," stated APEX's Nate Pedder.
