Gov. Cuomo details impact of tourism on Thousand Islands vacation region

As Albany prepares for tomorrow’s tourism summit, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo detailed the impact of tourism on the Thousand Islands region, consisting of Jefferson, Oswego, and St. Lawrence counties.

An estimated 1.5 million tourists from across the U.S. take an overnight trip to the Thousand Islands region every year.

Yeah. And they don't come to see wind turbines!

And when they cross Wolfe Island their immediate reaction is, "Why the "F" did they do that to such a beautiful Island!"

4:21 spot on!And wouldn't you think the New York State government would learn from Ontario's major blunder of placing a large wind project in the middle of the St. Lawrence river, and in the middle of a major avian migratory corridor?

The canadians are generally good folks, but they sure crapped up our view of the river from Cape Vincent and neighboring areas.
