Can BP have it both ways?

In Exhibit C ~ Bp documents their involvement with our community by submitting a collection of Wind energy Forums presented to our community by the wind developers Acciona & BP. One of the Forum’s  listed was the Wind Energy Collaborative that was held August 31, 2011. The issue I have with this particular forum is that when this forum was presented to our community it was promoted as an independent forum and not connected to BP.

The host of the Forum Carol Murphy, the Executive Director of the Alliance for Clean Energy had this to say 2 minutes and 34 seconds into the forum

I’m just gonna say a few words about the alliance for clean energy New York,  in the first presentation will be Mark Thayer to talk about property values and wind. I am executive director of the Alliance for Clean Energy New York. We're a nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization, whose members are doing clean energy, energy efficiency; we also have as part of her membership and half of our board environmental and public interest organizations, people who care about the clean energy and care about the environment and, also about climate change. So we are part of this collaborative and thank you very much for coming here, this evening we hope that you will find this interesting and informative and as Brian said this is fact-based, were not here to advocate for or against an individual project were here to provide information about energy, about wind, about New York State policy’s and hope to have a good dialogue with folks. So with that I will turn over to Mark Thayer.

I discovered through a FOIL request that the facility for the forum was rented by BP wind Energy. Carol Murphy was deceptive in her characterization of this Forum.

Below is a letter that I received from the Town of Cape Vincent Town Clerk.
