NY Town Slams BP Outreach In Fight Over $300M Wind Project


 BP Wind Energy North America Inc.'s public outreach related to its plan to build a controversial $300 million wind farm in Cape Vincent, N.Y., consisted of contacts with now-replaced officials who had direct financial stakes in the project, the town told state regulators Thursday.

Moreover, Cape Vincent officials told the New York State Public Service Commission in a filing that BP has misread state law, which requires it to demonstrate outreach efforts it is “presently taking” or intends to take as opposed to efforts it took...

I tried going to the link but found that I could only read the beginning of the post only unless registering. When I tried the trial membership it seemed that only those in the legal profession were allowed. I did poke around a bit and found that BP has just paid a fine for failing oil spill testing in the Chesapeake Bay. How many states need to be decimated before we stop letting BP do anything here?
