GONE WITH THE WIND

Billions wasted on 'green energy' projects

By KTRH's Nik Rajkovic

The Obama administration continues to spend billions of taxpayer dollars on renewable energy projects that experts warn give us little return on our investment.
First there was the $535 million given to Solyndra before it went bankrupt, now the Department of Energy has granted $10 million for an underwater turbine set to power just 25 homes in Maine.
Roughly 17% of 'green energy' companies granted stimulus funds so far have gone out of business.

You mean like the industrial solar project our town board is lobbying BP and the article x board to consider here?

Anon 5:51 Perhaps this is the real motivation behind the planned Oct. 23 town meeting with Richard Chandler.

The Town (maybe unwittingly,or maybe intentionally) has extended an invitation for an open dialogue with BP regarding a solar project.

BP didn't even have to sneak into town and buy up leases, they already have them. No conflicts of interest, yet, still a co-operative even willing, and amenable, town government.

I imagine China perked up immensely when it heard about Cape Vincents request from BP. They've sported a totalitarian approach to energy for some time , see it does work.

Little did we know it was our solar resource BP wanted all along, they just had to wait until we were dumb enough to offer it up, as an option to getting ravaged by wind turbines.

BP industrial solar is a perfect fit. We accommodate it in both our zoning and comp plan. The town board just wrote to the PSC suggesting BP put up an industrial solar project instead of wind.

Same disasterous BP, same absurd fleecing of the American tax payer to make it possible, more costly, ten percentage points worse capacity factors than wind in the least sunniest places in the country. Major impact on grassland birds, and no industrial zone in our zoning or big enough to accommodate it.

Yup, sounds good to me! Glad our board is behind it!
