Cape Vincent ~ Town officials and community members from the
Jefferson County towns of Cape Vincent and Lyme gave BP a clear signal at
a meeting Tuesday night in Cape Vincent: a wind farm isn't welcome
there.
Hundreds turned out for the meeting. Signs reading,"BP
GO Home! filled the town recreation hall parking lot.

The tone of this meeting was crystal clear yet, BP's project developer, Richard Chandler sat before the Town and Planning Boards of Cape Vincent and Lyme and stated -- we are proposing a project that we believe the community supports, that can't happen, unless we have a community that supports it. We can't build a project on land that we don't- control. We have an incredible amount of support from the community. That is why we are here, that is why we are moving forward with this project.

Nobody is talking about a poll. We need more than a sampling. We need to ask all CV taxpayers what they think about Big Wind in the Cape. If that is done thoroughly it would be conclusive.
