Kincardine
acknowledges health problems reported by residents in wind developments
Kincardine council has passed
a motion to officially acknowledge the health problems reported by residents

The motion, introduced by councilor Ron Coristine, also confirms
that the municipality is willing to continue talks with wind energy developers,
the provincial government, other local governments, health agencies and
residents affected by wind turbines to “develop effective mitigation measures.”

was informed that declaring a state of emergency was not an option. Mayor Larry
Kraemer told a packed gallery that when a state of emergency is declared in
Kincardine it essentially enacts the municipality’s emergency response plan and
authorizes council to dedicate funds to disaster relief efforts.
