At the December 20, 2012, Town Board meeting, a citizen
made the following statement.
"I'd like to address an
issue, the new zoning laws – – there are problems that the organizers of the
committee were not aware of and one of the problems was that the committee was
made up primarily of, let me use the word -- outsiders."
Recently, a similar comment was also posted to an editorial by Perry White, on the Watertown Time’s website. Among other things, this commenter wrote, “The local government more resembles a
white, retirement community than an actual functioning town board.”
Additionally they added, “The
entire wind-related product of this carpetbagger council should be tossed
aside.”
Are these comments an
attempt to discredit the validity of our zoning law, by promoting a false
premise?
The characterization of the zoning law committee as outsiders is erroneous;
every member of the committee that worked to update our zoning law, is a full-
time resident of Cape Vincent.
A certain
element in our community, objects to a zoning law that was designed to protect the health,
safety and general welfare of our entire community.
Yet, these same people openly accept, without
hesitation ,each and every document and study created under the direction of BP , a convicted felon...

Thank you for your chart.
Now tell us how many hours were spent by "insider" anti outsider prejudiced bigots attending the numerous planning sessions held by the volunteers who worked on our laws.
I want my money! I want my money, dammit!
Special thanks to those on that list who did all the free volunteer work for out town. I also notice that many of you are very heavily involved in other civic work in the community. Thank you so much for lending your expertise and ensuring that our town keeps running while others try to destroy it with their own self interest and that of a steam roller like Bp.
Hmm! Two and one half centuries of experience living in this town is probably not enough for some insiders.
I am confused about the insider-outside thing. Edsall spends much of his time now at his Florida residence. Is he an insider or outsider in the Cape? Can someone explain the rules to me?
This board has other serious issues to consider. Two that come to mind are, A non functioning windmill and a garage bulit almost in the road, in Dodge Bay.
Seems as though county Rte. 7 does need to adhere to the same zoning laws as the rest of us.
And what about that bootleg water line? What's the status of that?
And the BP met towers? Are they up courtesy of the town's free pass?

Edsall spend much of his time in Florida, well if your mother-in-law just died, I guess I would be spending some time down there. Where are you going with this about him. I hope that this comes back to bite you in the ass. You people all come from the same make-up, the local dump.
