Lady Grace Recommended Reading

  This morning a comment came in to the post  Siemens Tapped for Federal Government’s Largest Ever Wind Farm.
~~~
"...which conducts a set of interlocking missions related to nuclear weapons security and emergency response."
If the Federal government is considering the use of wind generated electric energy for our national defense, then I hope this nifty idea goes no further than preventing an attack by 18th century sailing ships. Otherwise we are in deep shit.
When you think of voters for wind and what Bp is trying to do to our community take into consideration that Jefferson County does not have a book store.
When I moved to Cape Vincent in 1999, I asked the Realtor where the
Book store was he said people don't read around here. I guess BP thought the same thing.
Who is John Galt? John Galt is all of us who have decided we've had enough and we aren't going to take it anymore. BP Go Home!
Choosing not to live and choosing not to think about BP's 124 turbines leaves our town's future in the hands of others. By siting on your haunches you cannot avoid the consequences, whatever that might be. Ayn Rand's idea is that if you let others choose the road to the future then you lose the right to complain where you end up. Leave the sloths to the ditches and let the John Galts have the road.
Not having a bookstore is unfortunate. But what is worse is not having a newspaper willing to do some in depth investigative reporting.
Thank goodness for having a couple of good blogs or the wind developers would own the story.
You obviously don't get out too much. There several book stores in the Watertown area and I believe that's still Jefferson county.
