Pro-wind organization appears to contradict the conclusions of its own hired experts.

From the New Richmond News

Published January 12, 2013,

I find it odd that Clean Wisconsin could misinterpret the parameters of the “A Cooperative Measurement Survey and Analysis of Low Frequency and Infrasound at the Shirley Wind Farm.”

In a press release, the pro-wind organization appears to contradict the conclusions of its own hired experts. Tyson Cook, Clean Wisconsin staff scientist stated, “After testing three homes near Shirley Wind Farm, scientists were unable to measure any low-frequency sound…above the threshold of human hearing…”

The testing was not about audible noise, nor was it intended to find a direct, medical link. The testing did document both low frequency noise and infrasound in the Shirley homes. Continue reading the  story at this link

This study in Wisconsin could turn the wind industry on its ear.

The four acoustic experts are in effect saying "time out." They are saying low frequency sounds, those below the audible range of humans, but not Dumbo, can make you sick. (Dumbo is an elephant for those of you too young to know.)

What kind of sick? Motion sick is the suggestion from the experts. If you have ever been motion sick, then you are a prime candidate for wanting to leave your home if someone puts a 2.5 MW turbine nearby.

The fact that a wind industry shill, Clean Wisconsin, has tampered with the four experts report - redacted parts it didn't like - has lead to some of the sound experts doing follow up testimony to the Wisconsin PSC exposing Clean Wisconsin's sleight of hand.

No shock then that Clean Wisconsin is saying, "Pay no attention to the four acoustic experts behind the curtain."

Money makes so many people do so many stupid things, and not just in Wisconsin.

Didn't we also have a sound cover up issue here? I think it was discovered when emails were foiled and I lady presented the soundgate papers to the town board. Acionna and voters for wind and two leaseholders who did not recuse and voted on a wind issue then tried to have Mr. Hirschey removed from office but they lost. Also, the town was offered a free study to determine ambient but the pro wind on the board voted it down.

Cape Vincent's past history with sound is stunningly despicable.

The town pays two consulting engineering groups (Bernier Carr and Cavanaugh Tocci) for their advice, but then ignores their recommendations because it would limit the development plans of BP and Acciona.

Compounding the problem were conflicted officials who used their offices to suppress, constrain and miscontrue these consultant's advisories.

Then when these corrupt maneuverings were exposed through a legitimate FOIL application these corrupt officials yelled, "Foul!"

Who would have thought wind turbine sound could stink so bad.

Many people had the opinion that the conflicted town board was using the past PB chair also conflicted to shut up anybody who opposed them...The public asked the conflicted members of the board to do something to stop the pb from not allowing the public to speak. They did not do anything about that. I thnk they were purposely shutting up people so they could hide this stuff...

There should not be one Article X work session or meeting that the past problems with wind lease holding officials should not be mentioned. Every single decision might be suspect. If there was stuff hidden it should be brought out on every issue.
Encourage the present town officials to expose any lack of due diligence by public officials who my have been getting paid by develpers.

Here's a question we should be asking- why won't New York State allow its citizens to decide how noisy they want their own communities to be?

Edsall, conflicted town councilmen, soundgate, Wisconsin sound studies, ignoring town engineers,- what does any of this matter now,as long as Cuomo holds our futures in his corporate influenced control?

Look The past town planning board members are long gone. Get over it and stop rehashing the past to feel better. I would worry about Cuomo now and article 10. BP has all those people paid in their pockets. Be prepared to see turbines in the North county in a few years.

Bp is trying to claim work done as valid. Not so because of the past corruption in the town. Can't get over that. Too important to ignore. They were political duds and did not do it right.
