Wind turbine company Nextera

&

MNR destroy Bald Eagle Nest & habitat

Fisherville, Haldimand Cty, Ontario:The Canadian Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) granted a permit to Nextera Energy to remove a bald eagles nest that stood between the firm and the construction of their wind farm.

The MNR stipulated that Nextera must cut down the tree by January 6, 2013 their rational behind the deadline ...

“By removing the nest before January 6, it is anticipated they will find another suitable nest location and will avoid disturbing them during their critical nesting …… Removing the nest will reduce the risk of eagle mortality at the site.”

Wind energy has been touted as the savior of our planet ,
can the world be saved by killing it?

F@#k an A!

They'll move an eagle home recognizing it ain't a fit place to call home smack dab in the middle of a wind farm.

But, what about people you GD idiots???

Don't you think people deserve the same respect and consideration as a GD eagle?

Anybody who doesn't want to live in the middle of BP's Cape Vincent wind farm should have the right to have their home lifted off its foundation and transported to another out-of-sight location, at BP's expense.

What's good enough for an eagle should be good enough for a non-participant, don't you think?

Excuse me but a little bit of vomit came close to popping out with this post.

Sometimes I think we are all going GD crazy!

If the eagle nest was too close to the turbine for the eagle safety as claimed, what about that house in the picture?

Moving a nest so birds won't be killed. Seems like reasonable thing to do, but this is another adverse environmental impact associated with wind development. It is called 'displacement,' where development may force birds to seek other habitats; in other words driving the birds away from their local homes and haunts.

But this is a new twist. The same agency, MNR, who undoubtedly talked about 'displacement' in their reviews of wind projects in Ontario, have become the very displacers. MNR is now aiding and abetting the very process that any responsible natural resource agency should have strongly condemned.

I do think we are all going GD crazy.

You have a strong tummy....in my case I became a captain of the narrow seas.....

Would MNR have done this if an oil or gas developer wanted to bring a pipeline dead-on the eagle nest? This post and story is proof positive that politics, specifically the green agenda, has infiltrated once hitherto apolitical agencies such as the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Those of us old enough to remember the beautify America ad campaign with the native American with a tear in his eye at the sight of litter and trash, can see a more modern twist - a MNR biologist with a tear in her eye as the crane removes the eagles nest so it and the eagle won't interfere with the Province's hula hoop technology.

From the link provided by Pandy here is the rationale for granting the permit to kick the eagle out of town:

"Expanding clean and renewable sources of energy is key to the government’s plan to phase out coal fired generation, mitigate climate change, create green jobs and support technological innovation in renewable energy."

This will work too for asking people who may be annoyed or made ill by this wind development to just suck it up because, "Expanding clean and renewable sources of energy is key to the government’s plan to phase out coal fired generation, mitigate climate change, create green jobs and support technological innovation in renewable energy."

Nextera and the Province shout, "MNR take down this nest!"

And so the "Coal War" ended.

Thus began the War of Winds...

Eagles are scavengers anyways.

So are wind lease holders.

If you go to the link provided with this post you will see many, many comments from Canadians throughout Canada (even B.C.). They are all genuinely appalled at this travesty.

Of all the comments I read this one was the most touching:

My fiancé and I are locals and were told the pair was seen flying around the location at about 4pm that afternoon looking for their nest. Such a disgrace.

Did the Cape Vincent - Lyme voters for wind jump on a bus with Maz and take a field trip to celebrate the victory over the eagles?

Actually some think that wind lease holders are parasites, not scavengers.

Eagles are scavengers and make good targets for practice.
