Recently the Town of Cape Vincent sent a letter to the public service commission regarding BP's website.
Town of Cape Vincent ~
We would like to bring to your attention to a recent post from the Cape Vincent blog, Pandora's
Box of Rocks. We Were All Struck by the Irony of the Post. BP's Article 10 Public Involvement
Plan, We Assume, Requires a Certain Degree of Honest Representation of Facts and Information
Presented to the Public. Yet, the False, misleading visual aids that are a prominent feature of BP's
website are in stark contrast to what our community represents. This concerns us. [continue...]
Below is the Public Service Commissions response to the Town of Cape Vincent's concerns

I have read that it may be unwise to visit the Cape Vincent Wind Farce website because they may use the site hits to mislead the PSC into believing that the hits are all from supporters. That is a very ligitimate concern. Let me explain: When BP was pressuring local Cape Vincent organizations to accept support (another word for bribes) just before Christmas, one organization refused in writing and provided an explanation as to why. The exact response from the BP community organizer was "thank you for reaching out to us". Be careful.
I just checked.
As of 5:41 pm EST today, none of the four misleading photos have been removed BP web page for the Cape Vincent project.
Each of the four (still) misleading photographs featured on the BP Cape Vincent project web page remain featured there.
But in tiny print down in the lower left corner of each picture there is a note that the pictures are from places in Idaho and Indiana.
These are the people we are dealing with, folks. They call this public involvement and public outreach?
Wait till BP is asked by the PSC to produce the list of lease holders and good neighbors. That will be fun to watch. Maybe BP will thumb their nose at the PSC, too.
Why do they have to ask? Can't you tell by the green shirts they wear?
To those who expected BP to take images of Cape Vincent and then ask one of their consultants to insert pinwheels for simulation of their wind farm, look back at Chandler's first presentation in October - a typewritten page projected on the wall, or Harris' first talk about the Article 10 process - him reading off his computer screen. These people don't give a shit for us or this town. They will not lift a finger to do anything right - their arrogance is on full display. Their little footnotes on the bottom of the images on their website also suggest that their scoping document that then intend to file by late March will be of comparable thought, effort and quality.
Who thinks they really give a rat's patooie? Mr. Fixit is right. We should bring the town together by going back to the days before art 10. Join the pro cape movement and help the indentured lease holders get out from under this awful mess.
