CAPE VINCENT — Town Supervisor Urban C. Hirschey will not run for re-election in November but plans to remain engaged in the community’s development.
Mr. Hirschey said that much has been accomplished since he was elected to office in November 2009 but that he wishes to step back and spend more time with his family and perhaps travel a bit more.[Watertown Times]

The take back Cape Vincent dream team!
What about Harvey?

Thank you Mr. Hirschey. Numbers of times you have been verbally accosted by pro wind members of the community. Your ability to face these irate people with dignity and patience has been remarkable.
Please. When you dis pro wind look at the leadership. That is where it starts. Not all pro wind are that bad.
Citizens for Fair Government have already started their take back Cape Vincent campaign which really means take back Cape Vincent from its citizens and tax payers and give it to British Petroleum. It appears to be Mr. Aubertine's wish.
They are claiming:
Article X is a sure thing.
Wind is behind us.
pro wind candidates will heal the community
Part time residents do not have any right to vote.
"Everybody deserves municipal water"
Except the "millionaires" in district 6 who pay the highest taxes.
