CHAUMONT — The state has recognized the village as a key stakeholder in the proposed Cape Vincent Wind Farm project, meaning Chaumont officials will also get to nominate candidates for the Article X ad hoc siting committee.
In a letter Thursday, the state Public Service Commission told BP it must amend its Public Involvement Program plan for community outreach within 15 days to include Chaumont as a “directly affected stakeholder” because part of the wind farm’s transmission line would be in the village.[Watertown Times]
