After reading the PSS that
BP submitted for review I found it to be a comprehensive document which addressed
the areas which can/would be impacted by the project proposed. It depicted the
project and the community well and addressed not only the potential impact but
ways in which they will lessen that impact in areas of concern. As a resident
and land owner in Cape Vincent I understand the challenges of living in an
economically depressed area and wanting to improve that state while still
maintaining a rural and county setting that the area provides. This project
will assist in keeping our farm land in production and not changing the rural
setting while still providing an economic stimulus to the community. The
potential financial impact from the project will not only provide jobs and
income it also has the potential to assist in keeping current jobs and small
businesses owned in the local area which are currently at risk of being lost.
The current planned placement of the towers allows the view shed of the river and the natural
beauty of the countryside to remain intact. BP has been thorough in its objective
to provide a beneficial and sound project.

What about the sweeping shadows on all sides of my property once a second? I've been to Maple Ridge and experienced this desecration of what was once a wonderful place to live.
The flashing red lights will also destroy the night time sky which I now treasure.
We can't allow this destruction of such a priceless landscape.
All of the other State Agencies who have commented disagree with your assessment of the PSS. In fact they agree with your own town officials who were right all along in pointing out that the the previous corrupt town officials were lax in allowing Bp to put forth a project which is now proving to be way wrong. Ultimately it will be the former public officials own self servitude that will be the demise of the Bp project.
