...and on April 3, 2013 BP and New York State were unable to dislodge the last of the Cape defenders clinging tenaciously to the south bank of the St. Lawrence River.
Defense of a homeland is just that, whether it is with bullets and bombs at Stalingrad or blogs, laws and votes in Cape Vincent.
The analogy with Stalingrad is strong. With barbarians at the Cape's gate now for seven years, it's understandable why you feel this way. Let's talk about what comes next with regards to Article 10. These corporate oportunist will finally be defeated when we stop BP'S successor. Now is the time for the Town Board to press the PSC to require an entirely new appliation from any successor developer. We can be assured that BP is already pressing the PSC to allow a transfer as part of their upcoming offering package of rights, warranties and representations. Why else would R. Chandler be returning? Now, this week, is the time for the Town Board to verify that the PSC will not allow BP to transfer their extant Article 10 process. During this crucial, brief period the Town has an opportunity to achieve a total reset. Do not let the Town Boards silence be taken by the PSC as consent to transfer.
