The Cimarron Bend onshore wind project in Kansas has an operating capacity of 400 MW, distributed over 243 km2 of land, it still ranks among the top 25 of super-sized wind-energy developments installed in the past ten years.
Additionally, it cost $610 million to build Cimarron Wind this number breaks down to about $1,525/kW, just below the average capital costs for 200 MW-plus projects in the US in 2017.
