ALBANY — Homeowners and businesses installing solar-energy equipment will be eligible for new tax credits and incentives under a set of bills Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed Friday.
The new laws will exempt businesses from paying state sales taxes on commercial solar equipment, while homeowners will be eligible for a credit of up to $5,000 if they lease or have a power-purchase agreement for a solar system
