Shooting at Turbines

Recently someone shot a wind turbine at Maple Ridge Wind farm multiple shots” to the structure. Caused oil leaks and the turbine had to be shut down.
Apparently this is not an isolated incident. However, shooting at turbines is illegal, and there are serious consequences involved, an attack on a wind turbine can be considered an attack on a power plant and federal laws come into play.

I suppose now the State Police will put a bounty on "The Maple Ridge Turbine Sniper"

sounds like he could be a serial turbine shooter, been active around the world.

If Interpol gets invloved, they may want to check all the wind project communities around the world for any ex-military types that have been treated and released from a hospital ,suffering from "wind turbine stress syndrome"

Pandy, what you failed to cite is a new profiling strategy by law enforcement nationwide that has led to a remarkable number of arrests in cases involving wind turbine vandalism and destruction.

Once police are informed of an incident, such as the shooting of a turbine in Maple Ridge, they begin patrolling within the boundaries of the wind project. They look for and detain all individuals they encounter who have a "pleased and satisfied demeanor." This of course would include all owners of land within the project that have leases.

However, when police find an individual within the confines of the wind project with a "pleased and satisfied demeanor" without a wind lease - Bingo, they have their man/woman! Police also report that once confronted these turbine vandals quickly confess, show little repentance and smile a lot.

Probably be the first time this hunter has ever bragged about bagging a "3 point rack"

9:32 You speak of these turbine snipers as if they are common criminals,or vandals.

Civil disobedience usually comes with a high degree of moral righteousness, and reconciliation that one may be punished-thus the lack of repentance, and display of self-satisfaction that you describe.

Historical literature both factual and fiction is full of references of the "good guys" that engage in socially unacceptable practices for the good of man, or for the righting of a wrong, perpetrated on unknowing or helpless victims. . I.e. Robin Hood, Zorro,Batman, Elliot Ness , etc. etc.

Lets try to look at this from their perspective.

You forgot to mention Bernard Goetz.

Right on. Look at the movie The "Melagro Bean Field Wars"

It should be our model for protest.
