Despite planned sale of BP’s U.S. wind assets, Cape wind developer will move forward with state siting process
THURSDAY, APRIL 4, 2013 CAPE VINCENT — Despite BP’s plan to sell off all of its wind assets in the U.S., the developer does not intend to halt the state Article X siting process for the proposed Cape Vincent Wind Farm, according to a BP spokesperson.[Watertowntimes]
When Wind power is one of BP’s largest renewable energy businesses, and the company is one of the larger wind generators in the US .... then I dont see the reason to sell and it concentrate on its core oil and gas operations. Then I found here that The move follows a series of asset sales worth about $38bn, to help finance the compensation costs related to the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill. hmm … this explains about their move
