How Much Is That Doggie In The Window ?

BP has announced that they are selling the Wind Sector of their renewable energy business.
How much is Cape Vincent going for?

I would like to ask the wind lease holders what it feels like to wake up one morning and discover that you are for sale.

Who will be buying your land rights?

Interestingly enough, there have been reports that Chinese companies have been looking to purchase US renewable energy Assets.

Maybe Cape Vincent could become Beijing’s sister city.

All kidding aside, the Cape Vincent Wind Farm lease holders can relax, BP is a company well known for their high standards and integrity.   BP has an unsurpassed corporate morality, exemplified by their actions with the Texas City refinery explosion and their handling of the Deep Water Horizon disaster.

I am sure they will be consulting with the lease holders before they sell their land rights, just as they did before they decided to offload them to the highest bidder.

  1. So Marion Trieste gets to destroy the community on behalf of Bp. Ruin homes values and then continue to brag about how she loves little creatures and protected the Hudson. Voters for Wind should be ashamed of what they got Cape Vincent into. That goes for the Commissioner of Ags and Markets, also.
